Thanks for stopping by. Here’s a little about our family, our cattle, and what we work to build every day. We are a small family-run mixed grain and cattle operation located just east of Cut Knife along Highway 40. Our farm is home to a growing purebred Charolais herd and a productive Simmental–Angus cross herd, and everything we do is built around hard work, practical management, and family values. Our cows calve on grass during May and June, and calves are raised on grass and mama’s milk before weaning in the fall. Through a year-round grazing program that rotates between grass and corn, we focus on keeping our operation simple and efficient, letting the cows do the heavy lifting whenever possible. Our entire breeding program is designed to produce dependable Purebred Charolais and SimAngus two-year-old bulls. Our “Trusty Two-Year-Old” bulls are developed slowly on grass, hay, and a simple 13% pellet ration to ensure they are sound, durable, and ready to work. We use proven walking bulls throughout our breeding program with the goal of producing strong, functional two-year-old bulls built to travel and built to last. With extra-aged bulls, we believe it’s important to spend time everyday walking through and handling them, so they mature into quiet, easy-handling bulls. We believe that kind of attention shows in the pens come sale day. Outside of farming and ranching, our family has no trouble staying busy with school, horses, and music. Jackson is off to Olds College of Agriculture, while Abby is winding down her high school career. Jackson keeps us entertained with piano and singing, while Abby can usually be found riding horses or working on her newest challenge - learning to rope. We are fortunate to farm alongside Shantel’s parents, Ron and Cathy Parker, and grateful for good friends and neighbours who are always willing to lend a hand. It truly takes a great team to make this lifestyle work, and we feel incredibly blessed and thankful for the people who work alongside us every day. Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes make them an important part of both our operation and our family. We host our annual bull sale typically on the first Friday in February right here at the ranch. Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to visiting with you and making new connections each year.
